Really good make up tips for dinner dance?

I have fairly pale skin, with no real suggificant undertone. I also have brown/black hair. I'm wearing a red strapless dress to my dinner dance. (not sure about hair yet..)

Anyway, I was thinking a red lip, and a light smokey eye would look really cool, with just a touch of blush. The only problem is I don't know how to do any of this. My daily make-up routine is a light coat of bronzer and chapstick.. So what do i need, and what are some CLEAR and step-by-step directions to get this look?

THANK YOU SO MUCH.Really good make up tips for dinner dance?
i think that you should pick one focal point on your face... even if you do a light smokey eye, it's easy to have it appear as too much. i'd suggest to either pick the eyes as the focal point or the lips, especially if you want a red lip.

face:

i LOVE pale/light skinned people. i think it's very beautiful, especially with the right makeup :D

1. moisturize your face with a moisturizor that suits your skin type.

2. use a makeup/foundation primer. sephora has one that's good and smashbox's photofinish primer is AMAZING! but if you don't want to fork out that kind of cash (although well worth it) try something like monistat's anti-chafing gel...i know this might sound really weird/gross...but it works as an excellent primer as it has the same key ingrediants found in products such as MAC's matte gel and smashbox's photofinish primer

3. apply foundation. i'd HIGHLY suggest mixing it with an artificial light (i'd strongly reccomend mac's lightly line or strobe cream) this will soften any imperfections while giving you a soft, healthy glow....which looks absolutely stunning on lighter skin tones :)

4. apply any concealer...as needed

5. set with powder all over face.

6. take your blush (i'd suggest taking a shimmery brown, such as mac trace gold) and put it on the apples of your cheeks and blending up into your temples...then taking a peachie/light pink color and putting it on the apples of your cheeks. be sure to go light with this step, otherwise you'll look like a dirty clown :P)

7. you could also opt to add some bronzer to give you a little more color. LIGHTLY dust it on your forehead, nose and chin where the sun would naturally hit you...or you could use it for contouring :)

EYES:

for a smokey look:

1. start with a base. i like to use mac's shade stick in beige-ing...whatever you use as a primer, make sure to use it because this will help to give a better color payoff as well as keeping it in place without creasing or fading

2. highlight color: use a white eyeshadow (i'd suggest in a shimmery finsh) and apply it on your brow bone, under your eyebrow, on the side of your nose onto your tearduct. doing this will open your eyes up and make them look more awake

3. place your darkest color all over the lid and blending into the crease

4. take your midtone (not the darkest but not the lightest color) and blend it into the crease and towards your highlight

5. take your darkest color and line your bottom lashline 1/2 - 2/3 the way in...from outter corner to inner corner. with the remaining 1/2 or 1/3 of your bottom lash line (closest to the tear duct) line it with your highlight color

LIPS:

if you decide to go with a red lipstick, it's VERY important to use a primer and lipliner!!!! there's nothing tackier than someone with smeared ring around the lip in red! use the same method for other colors as well

1. prime your lip (mac's prep + prime lip works soooo well!)

2. line your lip with a liner that is the same color, or slightly darker (this is better beause it gives it more dimension) and line your lips. make sure to fill in your lips a little with the liner. this also helps to keep the lipstick from smudging/fading

3. apply lipstick

4. take some iridescent powder (or just use a highlight eyeshadow shade) and place it right inbetween your cupid's bow and below your lip in the center. this will give the illusion of fuller lips :)

if you do a smokey eye, do a nude to sheer color lip. if you go with the red lips, go light on the eyes. a pinup type of look would look sooooo great! red lips with a light eye (highlight on the browbone and tear duct, a light taup in the crease and black liquid liner with a little flair :) just finish up with some mascara to make the lashes full and lucious and there you go :D )

hope i helped!

good luck!Really good make up tips for dinner dance?
www.Maybelline.com/Video-Gallery good luck sounds like it will look great
hey.

ok right idea, a smoky eye would look great with red.

but however, red lips would overdo it. go for a nude lipstick almost your skin(but a bit pinker) tone with a clear gloss over top.

Bronzer and a bit of blush(light pink!).

For your eyes to apply a bit of eyeliner(black or charcoal). to do this make an asian eye %26gt;.%26lt; haha and sharpen the eyeliner very much to make a verry thin line right along your eye lashes on the top. and on the bottom lid apply the eyeliner on the flat ledge above your eyelashes(sound freaky but its not!!) this will make your eyes pop!!(:

now do a silvery or charcoal ( A LIGHT) layer from the bottom to the middle of your lid. add white in the corner of your eye by your nose (LIGHTLY) and slowly get darker with the charcoal the farther you get away from your eye.

hope this helped!!(:

%26amp; you can buy all of this at a drugstore. I LOVE RITE AID. you dont need the expensive stuff just yet. and this is just as good. oh and wear black mascara %26amp; curl your eyelashes and wear silver shoes(: hahaha kbye

I think that you should get some bangs. Then maybe get some highlights to brighten up your pretty face. You could also curl your hair too that would look really pretty also.

For the makeup use a some bronzer to give your face some color. Do not pile it on though. Then some mascara and maybe a little eyeliner and a nice eyeshadow. I can't really tell what color your eyes are but whatever color they are just pick a shade of eye shadow opposite of that. Because opposites attract and the shade will make your eye color pop. You also use a little gloss on your lips too to finish the look.

Oh and don't listen to that Sarah girl. She's a loser and has no life and has nothing better to do than insult others.Hair and make-up tips? [Pictures]?
wow. u have REALLY pretty hair.

you could always try curling it and leaving the bangs straight if u get bored with it. or you could put it up in a messy bun or a pony tail with the bangs down.

as for make-up, dont use that much, u might wanna hold off on using it too much. just light mascara and tinted lip gloss when you go out.

hope it works out
i think you should get more fuller and thicker bangs.

I think you should definitely liayer your hair

i think you should get some highlights.

I thnk you should use some eyeliner %26amp; mascara
i think you should get some bangs. and go to get yoru eyebrows shaped.

I just want to know how to accentuate my eye color, make the dark circles go away (I have deep-set eyes, so the shadows from my eyebrows make them look darker) and I have pretty long eyelashes, so yeah. And my lips are actually really small, not thin or anything, just small.

No mean comments please, I know I'm not the most beautiful thing ever. Thanks guys :)

First of all, you're a cutie.

Now for my advice to you! You shouldn't use eyeliner on the top of your lashes. It takes away from your beautiful eye color.

You should try using mascara, and eyeliner on the waterline, only halfway. You can use white eyeliner in the corners of your eyes to make them 'pop'. As for color...you can try using neutral shades, purple, pink, blues, green.

But just a small amount.

For lips, your can try any product that will make your lips a tad bigger, then use lipgloss on top of that.

Something like this;

For the dark circles, just use concealer. Finding the perfect one is the hard part.

hi, how about trying bright colours to bring out a sunny, fresh look? you Can still use a black eyeliner to define your eye shape or you can be totally brave and use a bright colour too. just buy some cheap samples and experiment. that's the best way id say. Also try using a lip liner of the same lippy you use, or use abit more lip gloss. If your not a fan of the lippy dont try and change, because more men/boys would go for the natural look, not the caked in make up type. anyways i hope i could be help to you x x

for your eyes do a black eyeliner or navy blue eyeliner...then for the eyeshadow use colors like grays, taupe, violet, and dark blues...it will help ur eyes pop more...

I hope that helps...
well I have the same eye color as you, and what I usually do is use warm brown tones on my eyes, I usually take an eyeliner thats chocolate brown or lighter and just smudge it right above my lash line. To get rid of the dark shadows, use creamy skin tones that match your skin.
Dark eyeliner dark mascara.:)
';my eyes are edited in this, in reality they are that color';

huh?
i know im going to sound old and lame but.......it dosent look like you really need make up
For blue eyes, use greens or browns, greys, anything thats opposite of blue [=. Use a storm-grey or dark brown eyeliner. Some suggestions I have are- Rimmel London Quad Eyeshadow in Cafe Au Lait... it's amazing.. then there is eyeliner that goes w/ it, the color is Chianti... its a purplish plum that's greatttt.. it smudges really well too. Also, put the eyeliner on your top lid, before the eyeshadow, because the shadow will soften it and make the line more natural.. that's what I do, anyways... and keep your lip simple, a clear or pink gloss and your good to go.

I also LOVE Covergirl and Maybelline stuff. Go to covergirl.com and they have live assistants that you can IM with, they give amazing suggestions and know what they're talking about.

Good luck, and remember it's not making what you don't have but rather taking what you do have.

Makeover and Make-up tips!!!~* 10 POINTS*~?

i am 13 going to 8th grade. about 5' 1'' and a bit longer than shoulder length brown hair with short side bangs. i REALLY want a DIY makeover so i can surprise everyone. i don't wear make up so i want some tips and styles for make up that are subtle and suitable for a thirteen year old. i also need pictures for some hairstyles that would look good on me (i would prefer noticable layers) . thank u so much.

best answer ( with links, pics, tips,etc.) gets 10 POINTS!!!!!!Makeover and Make-up tips!!!~* 10 POINTS*~?
Makeup:

First step in the makeup process is to wash your face twice a day using a cleanser. I prefer Clinique's cleansers or Neutrogena. Use a mask once a week to unclog your pores. I would try Biore self heating mask. The second step is to moisturize. The best moisturizer out there is Philosophy's Hope in a Jar or Olay. The third step is concealer. My top two are Maybelline's cover stick and the best, that all of the celebrities use is Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer. If you have a bunch of zits and dark circles, go for Amazing Concealer. It covers it all. The fourth step is foundation. If you have dry skin, you can try a liquid foundation such as L'Oreal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation or Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. If you have oily skin, try a mineral powder foundation such as Physician's formula and BareMinerals. The fifth step is Mascara. I like any Rimmel or Max Factor mascaras. Finally lip gloss. I would try any Stila lip glosses in a clear, light pink, or neutral shade. If you do decide to wear eyeliner, start out with pencil- rimmel and then try liquid- mark eyeliners. Draw a straight line slightly above your lashes. If you have small eyes, only line to the middle undermeath your eyes. On the lid, draw a straight line from the corner out to the edge. Make sure it's as close to your lashes as possible. For a more natural look, wear brown or olive colored liners and for more of a dramatic look try black.

Hair: Maybe have your hair stylist do side swept bangs, layers, and blonde highlights.Makeover and Make-up tips!!!~* 10 POINTS*~?
wash ur face 2x a day (morning and night) with a great cleanser like clean %26amp; clear

try a natural homemade face mask once a week (google some great recipes. lots of the ingredients can be found in ur pantry)

you can get layers, they really help a lot! [[eveyone says short hair is great, but to make short hair look good, it takes a lot of styling]] with layers, you can brush ur hair through and it looks like u did tons of styling (layers, baby!!)

and u can easily put it up or curl or straighten it because its long enough

maybe try some mascara. (ask ur mother!) mascara and lip gloss look amazing! (and u wont need lots of makeup if u take care of ur skin w/ the tips above)
ok im 13 and going to 8th grade too! u said u have brown hair? well i would cut the bangs ovr the eyebrows.

first find concealr that is ur same skin tone (wait till the end of summr if u get a tan)

dark black eyelinner dont put to much on just on the top lid and the bottom.

find mascara that makes ur lashes longr.

find a light pretty color for ur eyes and aply a lot more so it would look nice
There are loads of sites that teach you make over and also hair styling...but basically analyze your skin tone and see which are the colors in make up platter that suit your skin tone.

Anyone have Make-up Tips for a difficult face?

I'm looking for some tips to highlight my best features and disguise my worst.

I can't get to my own computer so I can't post any pictures but here is my best description:

Hair: Strawberry blonde (and no I'm not trying to cover up the fact I'm ginger I literally have blondey-reddey hair!) naturally straight, a fringe that frames my jawline in a kind of wispy way.

Face Shape: Essentially heart shaped; I have a very long but rounded chin and rounded applies to all of my features as there are no sharp angles on my face. And my cheeks can be VERY puffy in the morning but thin out after midday.

Nose: Fine, nothing special and no distinguishing features...it's just a nose.

Lips: A little thin, they dissappear when I smile and their colour is a natural deep red

Eyes: Dark Blue with grey streaks. There are green and brown rings around the pupil and a light grey ring around the iris.

Skintone: Very pale. With freckles too. I tend to get a slight reddness on my cheeks, nose and chin.

Skin type: Combination - oily in the morning and fine at night. My chin get's quite greasy.

Eyebrows: Blonde and a good shape without plucking, this would be great if anyone could actually see them but they literally blend in with my face.

Jawline: Faint, not strong at all.

Teeth: (I don't know if this helps) Straight and not too big or too small. My mouth naturally hangs open to display the bottom of my front teeth.

If you need any more details let me know but I think I have it covered!!

NB: I'm a 17 year old girl who wants to obtain a natural look more than anything. I don't want the whole smokey eyes thing or eyeliner!

(also include some hair tips too if you want - it hangs down just past my shoulders)

Thank you to anyone who makes the effort to read and answer this question - I know it's long!Anyone have Make-up Tips for a difficult face?
Your face does not sound difficult at all. for a simple look go for a light foundation or powder. Since you have clear skin you may tend to skip this step, but a foundation pulls any make-up look together. At the very least, try a tinted moisturizer.

Since your lips are dark naturally you may not want to wear a lot of color. Try a lip-plumping gloss to help enhance them.

A light dusting of blush in a bronze or pinky shade will likely look most natural. Apply mainly to the apples of your cheeks.

A slight up turn of your eyeliner at the corners should help counteract droopiness. A thin black line always looks good with blue eyes. Mascara, specially focused on the outer corners of your lashes will also help. You may not want to go with too dark a mascara since your lashes are light. A brown would probably be better than black. For dark circles, a peach or salmon toned concealer under foundation will help. A neutral creme or beige color swept across the eyes will be nice. You can go for a bit of sparkle or shine. This is a minimal look that would not require a lot of work.

I'm no make up expert, but I do read a lot of beauty / style magazines and tips.Anyone have Make-up Tips for a difficult face?
1. Use a sheer foundation to even out your redness without covering your freckles, concealer under your eyes and powder to set the areas that get oily.

2. Use an eyebrow pencil or powder to darken your eyebrows - it always looks kind of weird when people have blond eyebrows that you can barely see.

3. If you want your face to look less round use blush or bronzer underneath your cheek bones to emphasize them.

I know you said you want a natural look, no eyeliner, but that's the only way to help the droopy eyes.

4. Use brown eyeliner on your upper lid only and flick it up a little bit at the corners, almost like a cat eye but more subtle, and fill in the area between where the line flicks up and your lash line with the liner so that it has a little triangle shape at the corner instead of just being a line (hope that makes sense to you!)

5. If you wear eye shadow, have the lid colour (I would do brown) go up and out at the outside corner as well and add a lighter colour (white) on the brow bone.

6. Use brown mascara and concentrate it on the middle section of your lashes, not the outer corner.

With your colouring you would probably look nice with peach blush and lipgloss and gold, brown, bronze, peach or white for eyeshadow.
you sound pretty. for the redness i would use a light mineral powder foundation, just to even it out. dont use too much on the cheeks since you have a natural blush. you want to look healthy not one tone. for the dank circles use a little bit of highlighter under your eyes.

this will reflect the light from the skin. for your chin you can use some blotting paper that should keep it under control.

now the eyes, use some good quality mascara, a dark brown or brown black will look more natural on you, to counter act the droopy eye effect use the tiniest amount of eyeliner at the outer edges of your eyes to shape them. by not making the line thick and using a browny color it will look natural. smudge the line a bit too, just use your finger, i've found that works the best. keep it close to the lash line too.

for your lip just use a shimmery lip balm, the color sounds pretty on you

hope you found this helpful!!
first you sound very pretty :)

i think the best thing for you would be a light mineral powder foundation. look at covergirl

i wish i had your eye color it sounds amazing! you could get a brown eyeliner. try almay play up the blue. its called brown topaz.

mascara. you'll just need a light coat.

i would recommend mabeylline new york waterproff either volume or lengthening (whatever you choose) and get it in a brown NOT BLACK it would be too dark for you

that will be the most basic makeup for you. you could always add a light bronzer. maybe physicans formula.

and eyeshadow. that your on your own because there are so many and you can do almost any color! just walk into the nearest walgreens and experiment!

let me know if you need any more tips! :)

I'm a African American Teen who needs some advise about make-up!Please Give Me Some Make-Up Tips!?
Go get some facial moisturizer (I like the Nivea Q 10 even though it's marketed for men it works better than the other stuff!) and mix your foundation with the moisturizer half and half then apply it with the smooth side of a makeup sponge. It goes on smoother and more evenly.

If you use a stick eyeliner, a little bit of a neutral color creme eyeshadow on your eyelid will make the eyeliner pencil go on smooth without the dragging marks and you won't have to press so hard to get it to go on easily.

In the summertime, a light spritz of aerosol deodorant across your face (eyes shut tight and lips pursed inward) will keep the heat from making your makeup run in case you sweat.

Never apply makeup straight out of the bath or shower. Wait an hour or so if you can so your pores will close up to prevent pore clogging and blemishes. Please Give Me Some Make-Up Tips!?
Wear foundation and bronzer (so u don't look sallow) and wear navy eyeliner, it will look really pretty!

they have great tips on how to apply make-up and what colors would go best for different occasions. helped me
BRONZE:

You can use a bronzer even African American woman can use bronzers as long as you find the kind meant for your skin tone. Not too pale where you look like a ghost, but not too dark where it looks un natural.

BLUSH:

When using a blush always use the apple of your cheeks and use the makeup brush in motion of a letter c. Don't ever stroke down always go in an upwards motion.

EYESHADOW:

My favorite brand is Bare essentuals/Bare minerals.

When going out at night use a darker color on the top for a more dramatic look. During the day go more conservative with a light color on top and darker on the lower lid.

USING LIP GLOSS AND EYESHADOW: If you're going to make your eyes dramatic with a bold color like bronze or gold then you want to make your lip stick or lip gloss less dramatic like a light pink or clear shiny lip gloss or a light pink lip stick.

Now if you're going to make the lips dramatic like a bold red or a vibrant color make the eyes less dramatic. Like a light brown or light grey or whatever color you prefer. It's visa versa. If the lips are bold the eyes are less dramatic. If the eyes are dramatic then lips are less dramatic. The reason for this is so you don't look like you over do it or look like a clown.

A girl with deep thoughts you are an idiot. The others who answered were actually helpful. Some very much so and to them I offer my sincere thanks. You guys were great and the advice I got from you all was great.

To the girl with deep thoughts I'll be looking for you in any shallow pool of activity. Report Abuse

it lasts a really long time, and if you use too much, you won't get the glow you're looking for, and it will look really dull. seriously, a little goes a loooong way! make sure you get the right color!!! it's even more noticeable than regular makeup when it doesn't blend. mineral makeup will give you a nice smooth finish after you've done a nice job applying it lightly and evenly (practice makes perfect). for the imperfections, get yourself a nice lil concealer stick (same color as your makeup), and apply it lightly AFTER your foundation, then gently smear it in. when you apply it before, it makes your powder darker, and it again, won't blend. then, you may want to do a final light dusting of powder on top for an really nice and even finish. apply blush last if you're going to use it. oh yea, definitely invest in a powder brush! i hope this helps!
In the situation. Bare Minerals is the way to go! If you only have scars or blotches, I mean. If there's acne involved, then take care of that first THEN Bare Minerals! And when you buy the kit, be sure to find out the PROPER way to clean off the brushes and be sure to do it weekly or else bacteria will build up. Also, if the brushes aren't properly washed (I made a mistake of doing this!) they will become unruly and shed like crazy! Oh yeah, make sure you go to somewhere like Sephora and get your skin matched for a starter kit =)

Hope it helped~Kelsey!
I personally don't like bare minerals. I don't think they ever look natural, unless you use a tiny amount and you'd need to use a wee bit more than us 'whiskerless' girls. I used to use Maxfactor pan stick on my friend when he did drag and he hated it! It's traditionally stage makeup and so it's very thick and feels sticky on your skin (unless you cover it with a lot of powder) but it does cover every single shadow and blemish, which is why it's a tranny fave.

A really good one to use would be True Match or Infallible by Loreal. They're both quite cheap but look really good and they're amazing at covering blemishes. If you use one of these with a decent concealer (maybe Clinique Airbrush Concealer) then you would look like a natural girl.

You sound like you like the same kind of makeup look that I like and so I'm going to give you my absolute best makeup tip in the whole world! Ok, it's a tricky one if you live outside the UK because it's a Boots own brand product. It's called Boots Soltan Mousse Self-tan. It's so light it's a joke to call it a real fake tan but it makes your skin glow like you wouldn't believe. Smooth some onto your face at night and the next morning you'll look like J-Lo! It's also the best primer I've ever used and makeup smooths onto your skin like satin. If you want to use it as an actual fake tan then apply it the night before but don't shower it off until the next night. It smells like Apricots and it's completely clear after about 10 minutes and so difficult to streak! Great for a beginner but you need to leave it on all day because otherwise you'll have a 'barely there' colour. Buy it on Ebay or Boots.com. It's about 拢4 for a can that lasts for ages.

Don't use powders if you can avoid it and if you must then only use them on your jaw-line and under eyes (sparingly!) Rimmel do a great one - Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent. It doesn't have a base colour and so it doesn't look cakey or chalky. Also, get yourself a good makeup sponge (any local drug-store) and a semi-decent brush (big one!) for the powder. A really good blusher is Maybelline's mousse blusher. It's so easy to blend and the colours are really cute.

For your lips get yourself a lip-stain (Benefit, Body Shop, etc) and a clear gloss (a good tip with gloss it that the cheap gloss is always more watery and therefore more natural looking!) Or a shiny lip-balm would do the same trick :)

    And my skin color is like this;

    http://www.celebritybeautybuzz.com/wp-co鈥?/a>

and my hair color is very dark brownNATURAL make-up?!!tips?
-first off apply a good mosisterizer all over face!

-then get a light brown color and apply over lid

-thenn with a crease brush apply a white color were the crease is up to the brow bone!

-then a thin light of eyeliner on the top lash

    -some mascera and vwalla.!!

    -good luck!NATURAL make-up?!!tips?
it doesn't really matter what kind of make-up you use, its all about application and quantity (the amount you use)

try just a sweeping of powder foundation, 2-3 coats of mascara and a clear lipgloss? if this is for high school thats all you'll need!

looks v natural and pretty on.

    :)
Check out our channel for tips %26amp; tricks :D

    http://www.youtube.com/user/BeautyBySK
foundation - use something light, maybe just a tinted moisturiser, and make sure its your colour, too light and you will look ghostly, too dark and you will look orange

blusher - for a natural look, a light brushing of blusher in a similar colour to your lips (naturally) so if you have pink lips, a pinky blush will look best, if you have red lips, use something more red, ect. only a small amount should be used to look natural.

eyes- you dont need to use eyeshadow, but if you want to, use 3 shades very similar to eachother in colour, a light, a mid, and a dark. you could used a brown, gold, green or pink, but nothing too bright, something quite nude will work for a natural look. cover the whole lid with the mid tone, put the light tone over the inside corner of the eye, and put the dark tone in the crease, you can also use the dark tone to line your eyes, and you can use the light tone as a brow highlight.

try using brown eyeliner and mascara, instead of black, it can make a very subtle difference, and makes it look more natural. for you eyeliner, smudging it instead of a hard sharp line will also help.

lips- you can either use a tinted balm, which will make your lips shiney, smooth, and excentuate your natural colour, or you can go with a clear lipgloss.

i hope this helps you :)

Any tips are much appreciatedAny Make-up tips for me?
I think you look good with out make-up but if you want to add some i would just go with blush, mascara, eyeliner and lip gloss

You look beautiful as is.Any Make-up tips for me?
wow! you have really natural beauty. If anything id just say maybe some lipgloss or mascara. brown eyeliner might also look nice
Don't bother with foundation. You don't need it. All I suggest for you face is a translucent, loose powder, lip gloss, and some mascara.
yeah for real, dont even get into like cover up and foundation and stuff, itll totally ruin what you have!! your skin is georgous!! all i would say is just curl your lashes and put on some mascara...i think that just really brightens up anyone, if you really want to put anything on. but you really dont need anything!

I don't know if you can tell but I have green eyes and a very pale complextion I'm not sure what make-up to wear! I KNOW that I'm wearing bright, bloody red lipstick but I don't know what brand...........any suggestions? and I don't know what color eye shadow.........my date is wearing a striped suit (we are hippies OK? we do thing kinda unorthodox.) it black and white I don't know if really matters...........but ok I need some tips on make-up junk and different name brands perhaps?

any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

    ~Olivia

    P.S. I'm curling my hair.Homecoming MAKE-UP TIPS!?!??!!? ?
I would try Cargo PlantLove lipstick from Sephora (if you have one of those where you live)

As for the eyes, i would wear a champagne colored eye shadow (maybelline shadow stylist in Vintage Champagne, at drugstores) with a bit of darker brown eyeshadow (theres bound to be some at any drugstore you go to) in the crease of your eyes. Follow that with a little bit of dark brown eyeliner on your top and bottom, and then a coat of dark brown mascara ( I use Dior Diorshow waterproof, and it is amazing, but it might be a bit too much on your face seeing as you don't wear makeup usually and it also is a bit pricey - $24) I would go with one from the drugstore - the only cheap mascara i've ever used was that classic maybelline mascara when i was in a pinch and my old mascara ran out... it is in a pink and black tube it was called, um, Great Lash waterproof mascara (waterproof so it doesn't run all in your eyes when you're dancing) Get it in brown so it looks a bit subtler.

Hope this helps! Homecoming MAKE-UP TIPS!?!??!!? ?
because your dress is black and white,,

    red lipstick would be good,

    as far as brands go...

go with Infallible Never Fail Lipstick by Loreal.

it has a two step applying system.

the second step is a conditioning coat, and it keeps the color on your lips and not anywhere else [a glass, etc.]

i wouldnt wear eyeshadow. because you dont want to have too much.

i would just get some maybelline smooth eyeliner [not the liquid]

and apply a thin line on your top lid.

then apply some maybelline volumizing mascara.

if you really want to do eyeshadow, do a light gray.

apply it to your upper eyelid only.

you can always email me if you need more help =]

when you curl your hair don't use too much hairspray. With makeup when you wear foundation (if you do) make sure to blend it good and buffer it out. (move the brush around in circles) use a liquid base and brush over it with a powder. For your eyes bring the eyeliner a little past your eyes and give it a wing look. This will make your eyelashes look longer and fuller. Wear a dark eyeshadow and blend it with lighter colors. Whatever colors you chose. Lips use a clear gloss.

    Hope this helps

    I'm looking for hair/make up/wardrobe tips.

I don't wear any makeup, and when I asked this question before I got mixed responses. Some people said to wear eyeliner ONLY on the top, some said to wear it ONLY on the bottom, some said I absolutely needed blush, some said my cheeks were naturally red.

    So um yeah. Help?

Hair--should I change it? Pics would be helpful.

Just got my eyebrows done, but they're still thick so yeah.....

Wardrobe: Right now it consists of jeans and t-shirts (mostly delia's t shirts).

I need fairly inexpensive places to shop and ways to branch out my wardrobe.

BONUS QUESTION: Why do a lot of teenagers have problems ending a sentence? We all say ';Yeah....'; or ';so...yeah...';, etc.

i think ud look really good with a lil shorter hair, with layers and bangs. also-get like some lightish brown highlights.

lipgloss is always a necessity, and it helps bring out ur pretty lips.

ur really pretty in ur pic..and these things will help you be even more!!

    hope i helped.

the best of luck to you!Hair/make-up tips?
your face is a little bit shiny. maybe put some powdered foundation on it to even out your skin tone. then wear blush, who cares if your cheeks are naturally rosey or not. but it on the apples of your cheeks, it makes your skin absolutely glow. and the eyeliner is all up to you, depending how much you want to wear. and it seems like your lips are pretty pink already, so maybe just some clear moisurizing gloss. but just experiment. took me a few months to figure out how i really like my make-up.start natural at first, and experiment. good luck. your gorgeous.
you're cute, you kinda look like Ellen Page! you should get a haircut that has a lot of shape and movement, you have soft features, so get some bangs to draw attention to your eyes and cheeks. i actually think Ellen Page's haircut would suit you!

keep your hair dark, and as for wardrobe, you can never go wrong with basic layers and bold accessories. try out urban outfitters.
first i would go to a mac makeup artist and they can help with your make up and make it look pretty.

i love your hair!its pretty!i wouldn't change it. yeahh,i would get your eyebrows done again.

try going to wal-mart,target,kohl's is a really good place!even hollister has some clothes that have been marked down!

bonus question:i some times do that cause i wanna say more and i can't think of what to say.haaa.or maybe im just dumb.idk.

    anyway,good luck!

    :]
WEll you should wear eye liner on the top and bottom of your eyes it will bring out ur pretty eyes more. here is some info on eyeliener. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h鈥?/a>

for the hair, try some layers and maybe strighten it to see how you like it :) its a good leanth!
you could use a bit of blush yes...but eye liner try different colors like brown and blacks and experiment with them and use it on which ever part of your eye you think looks best top bottom or tom and bottom. a little sparkly eye shadow might be cool too ;)

try champagne colors. and defiantly get some sort of hair style maybe curls? idk lol

    New make up tips.?

Next year I'm going into a whole new school. This summer I want to make a real big change. I'm 5ft, so any ways to get taller? Lol. I want some better eyeshawdow, and mascara. Covergirl Great Lash is okay. I hate Maybelle Great Lash. I want a mascara that makes my lashes thick, long and gets ALL the lashes. I can never seem to get towards the inside corner of my eyes cus of the brushes. Also, I want to try to curl my eye lashes, but I'm scared I will pull out all my lashes, so any tips to do it correct? I have dark skin, so I need a better eyeshawdow that will look good on me. Matallic colors seem to be good on me. I use liquid eyeliner for top -- I sometimes do flickers, but I can never seem to get them perfect. Do flickers make you look better? If it does, I'll work on it then. I use liquid eyeliner on the bottom 2, since my friend stole my pencil. But, do you know any eyeliner pencil that WON'T smudge? No I do not use waterproof stuff. Sorry.

Please make these not too pricy.New make up tips.?
Some really good inexpensive products are:

Cover Girl Thick Lash 2 Mascara. (The one in the red tube). I've used it for years and my eyes are very sensitive. People ask if I'm wearing fake eyelashes sometimes because it makes them look really long. They don't look long without it.

Eyelash curling isn't difficult. Just put the curler at the base of the eyelashes and gently press down on the handle. Revlon makes a good curler at a decent price.

Revlon Color Stay Quad eyeshadows are the best drugstore shadows around, in my opinion. Highly pigmented and last a long time. With dark hair and skin I would try either Berry Bloom, Priceless Metals or Blushed Wine. You didn't mention your eye color, but in your avatar they appear brown, so those colors would be beautiful with darker coloring.

A good eyeliner pencil that doesn't smudge for me is either Max Factor or Cover Girl pencils. I would use black if I were you.

Another couple of brands that are inexpensive and excellent if you can find them where you live is NYX or Rimmel. NYX has excellent lipliners and eyeliners that are equal in quality to M.A.C. products, in my opinion. Rimmel's products are surprisingly good quality for the price.

Good places to put a highlight ( with a white highlighting pencil or a highlighter product) on the face are in the indentation above the lip, at the top and to the side of the cheekbone, right under your browbone and put some white on the inner corner of your eyes. That will make your eyes stand out. Another good place for highlighter is in the center of your bottom look. It will look pouty and pretty.

Loreal Lipstick in Belladonna Mauve would look good on you too. They also have a new line of lipsticks that you choose by your haircolor. They should have the display in whichever drugstore you choose, such as Walmart.

Hope that helps. Have fun at your new school.New make up tips.?
You should try going to Bear Essentials. You decide what colors you want, and they put it on you. And it looks natural, and beautiful. And they teach you how. There is one at Hawthorne, and you can buy more of their products at Ulta.
I have dark skin also =). You can always cheat, wear high heals and wedges! Eat lots of protein (meat, nuts, eggs, etc...) But most of all, EAT HEALTHY.

Don't use maybelline and covergirl eye shadows, the colors aren't flattering for dark skin.

As for mascaras, I use Extra Super Lash sold by Rimmel. It's $2-$3.

Liquid eyeliner is very difficult to apply! you should definitely buy another eye pencil! I like Maybelline eyeliners. But waterproof eyeliners are the best.

Here are my favorite make-up brands, all sold at drugstores:

    1. Wet and wild. I love their new eyeshadows! Sand castle and Paradise Cove are two sets of eyeshadows that have 7 gorgeous, shiny colors (metallic included). Those are $5 each.

    2. Jane makeup. They are very inexpensive!

    3. Physicians formula. The foundations are not for dark skin, but the new eyeshadows and bronzers are great!

    I hope I helped!

  • Stage make-up tips for Dorothy?

My college's dramatics group is about to stage ';the Wiz'; in three weeks, and I was cast as Dorothy ( the quintessential Dorothy for costumes, so people could be familiar: braids, red ruby slippers, blue checkered apron and everything).

Unfortunately, I have no idea on how to pull off the stage make-up, with the colors and stuff. I'm familiar with the basics, application and everything, but I'm just not sure which colors would be ideal for eyeshadow, cheeks, and lips, and if I should use false lashes or not.

My skin tone's olive to brown (MORENA, if the term will help anyone?), quite close to my avatar's skin tone. Suggestions, anyone? Other tips for stage make-up would be welcome as well! If it's about stage make-up, submit!

Any make up tips for me (pics)?

I need a few tips on what colour's would suit me best for eyeshadow's and lipsticks/ glosses? any suggestions?

    http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj175鈥?/a>

http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj175鈥?/a>Any make up tips for me (pics)?
Tone down the use of bronzer, as it can make any face look flat with less definition.

Use a dark (maroon, brown, etc) blush on the cheekbones. This will give your cheeks and chin more definition and add to the natural beauty of your face shape.

Highlight your eyebrows (they have a lovely shape and arch but the hair is lighter) using a dark brown eyebrow pencil. Doing this will also help your eyes stand out.

Use a dark green eyeliner on your top lids heavily, making sure to smudge them and spread the color evenly. The dark green will subtly set off your eye color as well as open up your eyes making them seem bigger and fuller.

Curl your eyelashes very well with a curler and use a dark brown mascara (black looks much to harsh on most faces)

For your lips I would advise using a pale lip stain with a sparkly or shimmery lip gloss over it. The lip stain lasts much longer than a stick or gloss but the gloss over it will highlight your lips and make them look fuller.

You are beautiful! With or without make up :)Any make up tips for me (pics)?
Hi, you have a really lovely face, but the make up you are using now wears you, rather than you wearing it. Try browns, greens and golds on your eyes and a more peachy /tawny,blush to tone with your skin colour, be subtle with it though, ';less is more'; try the pinched lips look as per liv tyler, take a look on video jug, it explains how to get the liv tyler lips and many other make up tips! You are young and beautiful, make the most of it!
Keep it simple. You're naturally pretty and don't need so much. Just a little powder, no foundation. I use Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. Have a lighter hand when applying mascara, especially on your lower lashes. It looks clumpy and unnatural. And is that blue mascara? Use a brown/black or black. Appying a white liner on your underlid will make your eyes appear larger. Burgandy and red bring out green in eyes so remember that when dressing, putting on lipstick/gloss. Pink lipstick doesn't suit your coloring. Try a lip plumper if your thin lips bother you, but I don't think they are too too thin.

Play up your best features, beautiful green eyes and gorgeous hair!

    Good answer, Sunny!
For brown hair and green eyes, neutral colors and purples would suit you best. You'll be surprised with how much a purple eyeshadow will make your green eyes pop. Almay makes a palette with eyeliner, shadow, and mascara for green eyes and it's a great palette. Try not to go so heavy with liner on your bottom lid though, and go a little heavier on the top lid with liner. Also, search youtube for instructional videos on styles that will fit with your hair and eye color.
To find out what colours really suit you need a colour wheel (just look one up on google images). The colour of your eyes for example, find the colour on the wheel then go across to the exact opposite of your colour and that is what colour eyeshadows you should use.

Aviod golds as you have quite a yellow undertone.

And definetly aviod that lip colour your using!

    It definetly doesn't suit you,

    go more natural!
theres no need to wear makeup. your beatiful.

you have a unique shape of eyes, so show it off, dont ruin it with the makeup. and dont use cover up or foundation, it makes you look discolored and fake. i dont know why so many people cake on makeup now adays =/

to me, if you use makeup, your just insecure and you dont like your features. i feel so much prettier without makeup on. and everyone complements my eyes and cheekbones, but when i wear eyeliner, people tell me not to because im hiding my beauty.

idk. just think about what i said because when your older, you will really regret wearing so much when you were younger. it brings on wrinkles and a saggy face so much quicker.
Well because you have darker hair and a semi-tan complexion, i would suggest using a light blonde/sand color for your base eye shadow. Then maybe the golds/darker shimmery brown family for your top coat. the eye liner is good. then put on a light bronzer after you do everything (but before mascara) that may take the orangey look that foundation can give you.
try putting a brown eyeliner on your lash line instead of your water line. it will emphasise your eyes more but if your going out somewhere nice use black. stick to black mascara. i think you could pull off a red lipstick, but dont go too bright all at once, build up to it.

if you wanna go natural with your brown eyeliner, put a highlighter power on your lips, it looks nice on people sometimes [ like a bronzer but pale]
You need browns and grays for eyeliner/ shadows and a gloss with some brown tones to it...more like burgundy. The colors you are wearing in the photos are for a fair skinned blonde, they aren't suiting you. Look for warmer colors. Olive green, burnt sienna, brown, charcoal etc. Hope this helps.
i just have to say i think you got amazing eyes!!

i think you should wear less make up because less is more and plus you have got loads of foundation on in that picture.

wear light colour eyeshadows such as soft gold or light brown as you want to show your eyes off as they are fab.
ok stop with the purple color eyeliner, and that lip gloss.

the eye shadows you should stick to neutral colors. like tans and browns. but bright eye shadow and color lip glosses do not suit you. and it wouldn't hurt to try some foundation or powder.
I think what you have done looks really nice. it has really played up your gorgeous eyes. I would use a darker lip tho. The light pink you used has just made your lips look thinner which is never good. I would invest in a darker shinier lip gloss that has a bit of a plumper in it!
well right now nudes colors are very in .. i also would lighten your hair it will make your face look soften for summer . you are a very pretty girl . www.makeuptip.com ,,make-up.lifetips.com,,www.makeup411.co鈥?also that foundation is NOT right color you look orange unless its a spray tan ..good luck
yeah pinks would be good for you and i have a you tube video that can show you how to make your lips look full

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_2j6rCaXgQ

btw thats not me so yeah

so idk if you like the size or whatever here you go.
Green eyes look good with berry color eyeshadows.

I think you should focus on your eyes, then keep the same blush you have, but do a more nude lip, because I don't like that pink on you. Plus it competes with the blush color
    woww, orange much?

Stop tanning so much! Natural is best, and your tan looks UNnatural!

When you've stopped tanning, pale colours would suit you! but please stop wearing so much make-up, you're probably beautiful without it.
    me,

you have very pretty eyes...suggest you contact Coonobabe via email and have their experts give you the makeup advice you seek!!!! hope this helps. this is where I get my makeup and advice.

    http://www.coonobabe.com
    you are gorgeous!

you need to tone down the orange.

i would recomend smokey brown dark make up. no bright colours

nice pale rose colours for the lips and cheeks.

    you're lovely, killer smile!
Bright colored lips like pink, red, purple, and stunning brown.

Tan, brown, natural colors for eyeshadow.
dont wear makeup honestly because it doesnt suit you but if not go for some lighter colours plus dont wear black eyeliner it takes away the natural beauty of your eyes!!!!!!!!!
I think a bit less overall, but keep the colors that you are already working with. Guys hate it when girls overdo the make up bit.

    Hope this helps! =)
I don't know if you put something in your face or not, but your face look too shiny. Also are you naturally that dark? No one likes a chick with cancer or with wrinkles at 30
I think brown and plum colours would suit ur eyes but i dont know about lip gloss, i just always use clear and it works a treat :)
You have VERY nice Eyes. Try going for a darker color on the eyeliner, and your lips are fine may be a neutral color....and Try to not use blush.
It's either bad lighting or bad foundation/powder. You look orange. You have piled it on way too thick. Lay off it that's my tip for you.
you should wear gold shadow, but other than that your eyes look good. wear a deeper pink gloss or lipstick and maybe try a lip plumper
pink and pale colors will suit you the best...

    take care,you are really nice.
mayb sum red lipstick. %26amp;eyeliner on the bottom tht matches ur eye color so ur eyes pop more!
put white powder all over your face and then put red on your cheecks...look like a clown. wait you already do...lol...
    use less makeup
    mabye a light purple

    Different make up tips anyone?

Is there anything I can use as a way to keep eyeshadow lasting longer and stay colorful throughout the day, besides the primer you buy at the store? I noticed many people use Urban Decay primer potion but I just wanted to know if there are any at-home products?

Also, when you break up eyeshadow palettes into powder, what would you use to make it into a cream shadow? (I'm just now really getting interested in make up and need a few tips on using make up I already have and re-inventing it or learning how to use it in different ways i.e. making lip gloss out of your eyeshadow, etc)

Plus I dont have Mac or those high pigmented eyeshadows, just your typical things you get at drugstores...so its not all that great and much I can do with it, that I know at least.

Thank you for any and all tips because everything you give me will be helpful!! :)Different make up tips anyone?
For eye shadow that stays colorful all day long, you should try the HIP eye shadows. you can get them at wal mart, walgreens, target. they are a little more expensive then most eye shadows there but they have high pigment and bright colors that last.Different make up tips anyone?
yes use makeup that suites your skin and it will look fabulous to here's a site that will show the makeup that will suite your skin a lot it's called nextag.com
yea you can make lip balm from vaseline and pigments. Here's a video:

Also, another great idea that I use for longer lasting eyeshadow is that I use a little spray bottle that I got from CVS and filled it with water.

Once I dabbed my eyeshadow brush into the eyeshadow, just right before I apply it on my lids, I spray it about 1/2 foot away to the eyeshadow that's on the brush. It allows the eyeshadow to blend better as well as have a smooth texture. It will also make the eyeshadow stay longer, because it's no longer so powdery.

    Hope it helped!
Put a little Vaseline on your lids. It will help the color stick.

When you break into powder to make a cream, Vaseline will work too!
I only no the answer for #1

    Things You鈥檒l Need

Eye shadow, any drugstore brand will do

Make-up brushes, eye shadow sponges and brushes

    Cream concealer

    Blush and a blush brush

    Step 1:

Apply a cream concealer to each eye lid. Use your finger tip for easy application. For your eye shadow to last all day it needs a base that it can hold on to.

    Step 2:

Load the eye shadow on to the eye shadow make-up sponge. You will want to load the make-up sponge with plenty of eye shadow. This will be the main layer of eye shadow that will last all day.

    Step 3:

Sweep the eye shadow over the eye lid using the make-up sponge. Fill the desired areas of the eye lid with the eye shadow.

    Step 4:

Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for all desired colors of eye shadow for your look.

    Step 5:

Create contour on your eye. Choose an eye shadow shade that is a little bit darker then the other colors that you have used. With an eye shadow brush sweep this color into the eye crease. Repeat with other eye.

    Step 6:

Use your blush to set your eye shadow, so that it will last all day. With your blush brush sweep a light layer of your blush over your eye shadow to keep it in place all day.

    Professional make-up tips?

i have normal to dry skin with a few spots on my chin and a verrry spotty/red nose most of the time

my make-up collection at the moment consists of

a foundation that's a bit too dark for me

    a foundation that's a bit too light

some maybelline dream matte mousse that's a bit lighter than foundation 1 but a different shade to my actual skin tone

a powder that's about the same as foundation 2

blusherrr... a large powder brush, a foundation brush and a few sponges

i usually apply the foundation all over my face, put a bit of dream matte mousse on my spots/under my eyes and a bit of blushers round my cheeks, don't really know what to do with the powder haa

i'm okay at the eye make-up, etc my skin is just terrible and i'd realllly like to know the best way of perfecting it

    cheers xxx

    Professional make-up tips?
Firstly use a face primer or oil free moisturiser then use the dream matte mousse or a concealer, on your spots and problem areas and under your eyes. Then use the foundations on top, applying with a spounge, please make sure you mix them right so that it comes out the right colour for your skin, and make sure you blend it towards your neck so it doesn't look too fake.

Then use the powder ontop, with a brush, (make sure you tap it against something first so that your blusher doesn't come out with it) (use only a tiny bit) this is to give your face a more matte effect and to defeat shiny areas and give the make up a good finish and then put the blusher on, make your you use a tiny bit, and make a kind of fish face so you suck your cheeks in, and put the blusher along the indented line, to give the effect of high cheek bones.

Tips: I would consider investing a bit more in make up on a better brand e.g MAC or anything around that price, as they're bound to be good. Also I would try and make sure you find a shade which is suited to your skin, you don't want to look orange or like a ghost.

    Good luck :)Professional make-up tips?
    Cosmetologist;

well first thing you would want to do before applying any make up is to use an exfoliate for your face, then moisturize your skin with an unscented lotion( scented lotions contain alcohol which will dry out your skin) one make up that i really recommend is M.A.C studio fix fluid and pressed powder...you can get it at Macy's. Its my favorite brand they have a variety of shades to chose from
    BUY CLINIQUE FOUNDATION!!!!!

best make up product I ever bought,

    and its not too expensive.

For 25 dollars, I've had it since june and I still have alot left.

It's actually made my skin better.

Dream matte mouse is a foundation more then a concelaer.

Any mac concealer or make up forever concealer would be better.

You can apply a bit of that before the foundation to help hide blemishes.

The powder is used after the foundation to basically make it stay.

Think of it like an art project.

You use glue(powder) to help the sparkles(foundation) stay on the paper.

If you want, add a little bronzer(sephora has great ones) and/or blush.

Put on soem mascara and your good to go for teh day with a clean and beautiful, natureal look.

    LUCKK!!!!

Need make up tips for dry face!?

I've never really had an issue with my face until lately; it doesnt know what it wants to do, be dry or be oily. I use all the ';mixed'; skin type formulas to treat my face, but I am curious as to whether or not there are some secret make up tricks to making my skin look next to ';flawless'; (or atleast less disastrous)! When I apply make-up it always looks cakey and my skin peels (especially around my nose and eye brows), but when I apply lotion it looks like leather. I just cannot win! Help, please!Need make up tips for dry face!?
equate beauty lotion (moisturizer spf 30) is great for dryer skin, and then i put neutrogena healthy skin blends, oil-control powder on all over my face to suck up whatever oil is left, so it looks natural and beautiful.Need make up tips for dry face!?
the same thing happens to me its oily but eyebrow, nose, and mouth area is dry and peely... what i do is wash my face right before i apply makeup, put some face lotion/ moistureizure and then apply the make-up...very lightly
Have you tried moisturizer at night before you go to bed after your normal cleansing routine? Your skin is more receptive to moisture before bed.

On top of that, try using an face exfoliator with your normal facewash before bed. It's a face loofah of sorts that will exfoliate as much as you need. That way you don't have to switch cleansing products or buy an expensive exfoliator.
A face primer (Smashbox makes a good one) before your makeup will help with that. You but it on after your moisturizer and before your makeup.
moisturize, moisturize. get good face cream, and use it after you exfoliate, and wash your face. you may need to apply the cream twice after you wash, as the cream will probably soak in quickly. try a spray, or lightweight liquid foundation. buff to blend
try not to use milky moisturiser , waterbase will be better

    Hair/Make Up Tips...Please Help!?

hey. i had a couple questions about hair/makeup. to start off with, i have brown straight hair thats pretty long and i have blue eyes.

*i have really bad split ends and they just make the ends of my hair look gross. how much should i get cut off so its healthy again?

*what colors/how should i use eye liner, eye shadow and mascara?

*i break out a lot right at my hair line and the bridge of my nose...how can i stop it?

*my skin is kinda greasy and always looks shiny...how can i make it look better?

*how much make up should i wear on a daily basis? ((i'm a sophomore in high school))

*what are some cute hairstyles that don't involve cutting my hair, like cute ponytails and stuff?

*can you give me some cute pics of side bangs? i'm thinking about getting some

*my hair is either really frizzy or greasy. it's never normal. how can i fix this? any good shampoos/conditioners? any good anti-frizz things?

    *any other make up tips?

thanks in advance. y'all are loved.Hair/Make Up Tips...Please Help!?
Split ends: Just cut off enough to where your ends are not split anymore. Maybe just a little above it.

Eyes: With blue eyes you want to use the colors green or brown for eye shadow. I use brown with mine and it makes my eyes pop. For eye liner, if you want to be subtle then go with brown if you want your eyes to be the center of attention use black.

Breaking out: At your hair line it's because your hair is too greasy. Try not using conditioner at the top. For everything else try using a face wash that has no peroxide in it. It causes your face to freak.

Shinny face: When you wash your face remember to ALWAYS use lotion after. Then try putting on foundation. I recommended a powder. It usually takes shininess away.

Make up: They say not to use too much. You don't want to look trashy and powdery. Try to make it look natural. Softer toned colors will do the trick. That is where the brown eyeliner comes into play along with the green eyeshadow. But a soft green.

Hair: When you want to do a pony tail don't slick it back. Dry your hair and make sure it's messy. Then just use your fingers and slide it back. You also don't want to have it too high on your head. Low is okay and right in the middle is great.

    Side bangs: http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z39/a鈥?/a> or http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z39/a鈥?/a>

Frizzy hair: For my shampoo and conditioner I use Herbal Essence. And in the above pictures you can see how my hair is. Don't use so much conditioner. Only use it on the back of your hair. Make sure you scrub your scalp with shampoo. It fuzzy problem still persists then try to find a anti frizz spray. It usually helps. I live in Colorado so I know all about frizziness. The static here is unbelievable!

Other: When choosing a foundation make sure you test it on your neck not your arm to see if it matches. I recommended bare minerals. It helps with breaking out. Also try drinking green tea and taking vitamins. It helps balance you system so you can better control you breakouts. If you need anymore help email me. :)Hair/Make Up Tips...Please Help!?
i'm going to just answer makeup questions because I was taught by M.A.C so for blue eyes, peaches are the best colors for eye shadows, stay away from black eyeliner and see if you can find brown mascara. when you go out at night, those things are okay but when you go to school, stay casual and natural. Foundation can be a problem for easily clogged pores so i do not recommend heavier liquid based foundations those can make breakouts worse. its a little bit more expensive, but worth it to use mineral foundation, some people say it doesn't stay on all day, but it does if you use primer. and for primer a little goes a long way, too much could dry your skin out. to stop breakouts, just keep your hair really clean and keep your hands away from your face. try st.ive's apricot scrub blemish control face wash.
first off, your ends probably don't look gross hah..cut about one inch off

    http://www.inoutstar.com/images/Bang-Ban鈥?/a>

here is a cute hair cut for you :)

for the eyeliner/ deep green, silver or brown/ also you should look into bronzer and highlighting your cheek bones by sucking in your mouth and putting dark bronzer in the hollow places, after that you put really light bronzer on the top apples of your cheeks.

    black mascara.

with the skin beeing greesy, i have the same problem

    use this http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

cant exactly stop breakouts that happens to everyone weather they want it to or not.

dont wear too much make up/ wear concealer bronzer and eye make up

you could braid your hair/ crimp it/ or curl it

    use garnie products
-Have your hair stylist determine how much to cut to remove all the split ends. You may lose more hair than you want, but you'll love how healthy it looks and feels.

-I break out on my nose sometimes right where my sunglasses sit. Your hairline breakouts may be from hair products or hair spray. Try using a cleansing pad after doing your hair.

-Use a matte makeup primer, I think Mary Kay makes one.

-Wear however much makeup you want. I probably wore more makeup as a sophmore because I was goth, but I loved it.

-Try low pony tails and side pony tails.

-Before cutting side bangs, try using a bobby pin to test it out for a few days first. Bangs are awful to grow out if you don't like the style.

-John Frieda makes the best frizz products, shampoos and serums.

-Try going to a Sephora or MAC store and getting some tips from professionals. It is usually free.

    Good Luck!
well to me is sounds just about the same problem i have..and also use to have.

1st off you should cut your hair to a really cool spunky hair cut, something that has lots of layers and get side bangs that kinda has shagged ends.

and what i use for frizzy hair is bed head,it works really good for me so i think you should use that.but do not use to much because it will make your hair look even more greasy.

and because you are a black hair girl the tip of makeup you should use is kinda dark colors of eyeshadow.but make sure the dark colors of eyeshadow or kinda glossy, now i forgot what that is called, but if you were to look int he makeup Halie in the store and look for what i just told you to do look for it will be there.

and the kind of eye liner does not really matter.

you can get blue, black, brown, and maybe even green.

and mascara, you should get dark black.and now about you braking out.i mean there is not much to say about that, just because everbodys acneis so different and its sooo hard to get rid of.

but i guess you should just wash your face every night befor bed, thats what i do and for the most part it works, and every day you should take a shower.

  • EYE MAKE-UP TIPS anyone??? Please I need help!!?

i've had trouble with make up for a while since for 1) i'm not ';old'; and 2) my eyes are pretty large to begin with. i've been looking online and on tv, and all they took about is playing up your make up to make your eyes look larger, which is a problem for me since i'm trying to make mine smaller. people have told me to put on a lot of eyeliner, but it looks trampy since, like i said, i'm still a teenager. is there anything i can do???

i would say no makeup or just very simple makeup would make your eyes look the best.EYE MAKE-UP TIPS anyone??? Please I need help!!?
your eyes are gorgeous how they are! But if you want them to appear smaller you can with eyeliner.. but if you're scared it'll look too trashy.. use browns. and use a thin brush and some brownish eyeshadow power to define the eyeline..instead of a definate harsh line. Just experiment. Mascara on top and bottom lashes too. And maybe you could have your eyebrows defined professionally, thats always a big difference too. Good luck!

Don't try to make your eyes seem smaller. That's ridiculous. That's like trying to make your lips look smaller. In fact, it's worse. Have fun with eyemakeup and don't worry about making your eyes smaller. They're pretty the way they are.
Draw a dark line gradually thickening at outer edge of the eye. Use a light-colored pencil (gold, silver, white) and draw under lower lash.
your eyes dont look that big,but you can put eyeliner on the top waterline it makes eyes look small
wear your makeup how your eyes look in the picture, little or no make up will make your eyes look the nicest!
put on a small amount fo liner. little mascara. and pretty naturat brown eye shadow
    i agree with stephanie

    Eye make up tips?

I have hazel eyes that change colors with what i m wearing and light brown hair with different shades of natural blonde and auburn in it. I use a bronze-y shaded waxy eyeliner that blends well with my skin tone, black doesnt work for me, I don't put it in the inside of my eyelid because it could get infected. Right now i m using gold, shimmery white, and brown shaodws on my eyes and it works well but i want to try something else. Any tips? Also I m looking for a new base. I use my moms old one its too light for me but it blends, and then i put blush to help it, but at the end of the day it comes off. What kind of base should I use? Also my eyeliner droops by the end of the day, and i tried using eyeshadow but it doesnt show up, also regular pencils dont show up either! Ugh. Sorry i have so many questions...but what should i do?Eye make up tips?
if your light skined you show go with warm colors for yous face, so you wont look that old. you should get the MAC foundation which is found in Nordstrom. it really works well!!!!! i hat the fact that my eyeliner comes off too by the end of the day.

Any make-up tips for an Asian 17-yr old girl?

Normally, I just put on a teensy bit of eyeliner at the outer edge of my eye, and then curl my lashes and use some mascara. I also put on some Shiseido powder and light pink blush. I heard that biting the lips will make em kinda red, and that's all I've really been doing.

Since you want to make your eyes look bigger, http://specktra.net/showthread.php?t=589鈥?/a> this might help.
Don't bite your lips, it'll dry them out and make them chapped. I have a lip biting problem, and I'm constantly putting on chapstick.

Use light eyeshadows, and black eyeliner and mascara. That'll open up the eyes. Never encircle your ENTIRE eye with eyeliner; only use it on the top lid.
Well light purple eyeshadow with white from Clinique would look nice. A friend of mine uses that and it looks really nice. Also putting light eyeshadow in the corner of your eyes will make them look larger.
why did u bite ur lips?

try lip tint or red tinted lipgloss, u can find it at watsons. its not expensive. i can leave the house without eyeliner and mascara.

i also have small eyes, im using freshcon contact lense. it enlarge the pupil. it really helps.
smoky eyes with dark blue shade (however, if you have darker skin tone, use green with black) usually make my eyes pop out. The rest of the make up has to stay neutral. Apply some beige lipstick, but since you are 17, try neutral lip gloss.

Use black eye pencil over the eye shadow or under them on both of your eyelids. Draw a bit elongated arch with pencil in corners of your eyes. The smudging and blending of the pencil color with the eye shadows create smoky illusion. To clearly define the black pupils, use black or dark brown eye liner over the finished look. I go with Dior firm eyeliner, since they are intended for non-professionals they do not leave unwanted streaks. Curl up your eyelashes and apply some curling mascara. Don't forget the lower lid lashes, they really open up eyes. All this advise would boil down to nothing if you prefer other types of make-up. Red lips go with neutral eyes or widened eyes with eye liner and heavy mascara (almost no eye shadow or neutral tones). The classic smoky eye a la YSL would dictate brown or purple shades but they are too plumpy for asian girls.

extra tip: it's best to avoid using make-up foundation all over the face as it creates heavy feeling, instead use it on your eyelids and cover completely all area with powder. This allows the heavy eye make-up endure longer hours.

i no you don't want compliments , but you are actually very pretty. I would LOVE to have your skin. skin that doesn't break out often, must be nice lol. Anyway I would suggest some lip liner could really look nice on you , a light lip gloss and eyeliner. You are naturally gorgeous and sometimes the less the better, you don't want to look trampy with a lot of make up.
I would try a smoky eye look, like dark gray eyeshadow, that would look really god, also bronze would go really good with your skin tone...here a few examples.......

did u have a cartilage piercing because there's a bump on your ear. i got mine in january and ive got a bump too. i wanna know if it ever goes away?

haha sorry for gettin off topic but yeah makeup..

i think mascara would be good cuz you have big eyes and it would complement it well. shimmery brown eyeshadow, just stick to neutrals. and black eyeliner. dont go crazy with it tho. i dont really think u need that much.
a light shimmery pink for eye shadow. some consealer for under your eyes to lighten it. Some (dont overdo it) black eyeliner to define your eyes. Foundation to even out your skin then a light peach lip gloss. hope i helped!!:)
uhm actually hun your really gorgeous.

for a normal day all you really need is mascara and lip gloss but if you want to dress things up a bit try some brown liner or pink or bronze eyeshadow..

    stay beautiful!
first of all the 1st person who answered this is a reject! but anyways if u use a darker color on your eye lid and then use a lighter neutural color below your brow it really high lghts your eyes
    Are you a fish?

I could've sworn you were because of the faces you make with your lips...
i dont think u need make up but mascare and brown eyeshadow would look nice
ur pretty the way u are

    Any make-up tips? I'm a total newbie?

I want to make my eyes look bigger. Recently i've nnoticed that they look narrow and kinda weird.

    http://www.colortration.com/Merchant2/gr鈥?/a>

My skin tone is like the one that says Mocha (17-20). My eyes are medium-dark brown.

What can i buy or do to make my eyes look bigger, and how can i look nice and natural. I have a round face that looks more cuteish than pretty. Thanks ^_^Any make-up tips? I'm a total newbie?
To look natural and make your eyes look bigger put foundation over your eyelids when you put it on the rest of your face. Also put powder over them when you put it on the rest of your face. Then use a nice non clumping mascara like CoverGirl lash exact or Lancome Definicils. Use a lash curler to curl the lashes, or if you are a little hesistant of lash curlers, just take your index finger and push the lashes back against the lid and hold them their for a few seconds after the mascara is dry. It will make the eyes look more open. Also use a luminescent color that is similar to your skin tone but more pearlescent and blend a little bit of it on the inner corners of the eyes for a more refreshed look.Any make-up tips? I'm a total newbie?
start off lightly and as you get more experienced you can wear more.

a light eyeshadow or highlighter will make your eyes pop if you put some in the inner corners of eyes. just put a little concealer on and mascara
Use light, shimmery (not crazy sparkly, though) colors to open the eyes up. Put light shades right in the corners of your eyes to make you look more awake. Your skin is dark enough to pull off black eyeliner, but be VERY careful in how you apply it, because if applied wrong it can make eyes look smaller. It takes a bit of practice. Curl your lashes and use mascara--curling them is the biggest thing to open them up.
I think the best thing to do is to find a salon near you with a great make-up artist and pay for a lesson. You'll get professional advice that will last you your whole life and that is based on your needs and not the generic answers found in most beauty magazines. Make sure that you ask to see their portfolio and that you like the way they do their own make-up. The people in the department stores are hit or miss - some are well trained and some aren't. Look for someone who also does photography make-up. Call around to the local salons until you get some good recommendations, plus it's FUN and not too expensive.
Experiment, Experiment, Experiment. Get some cheap makeup in colours you like and see what works for you (colorwise) before buying quality makeup. Go to the library or bookstore and take out everything written by Kevin Aucoin. He was an AMAZING makeup artist and his books contain great tips. If you are overwhelmed, go to a salon that teaches how to do makeup. I think Eveline Charles has makeup classes.
try mascara and natural colours of eye shawdow

BTW heres a tip i found out the other day

If your eyes are looking tired after a late night or stressful week

swipe a line of mascara along the inside of your upper eyelid and go heavier in the corners.

the best book i ever read on makeup in called Bobbi Brown- Teenage Beauty. It's all about how to do your makeup simpley and make it look really good. It's written for someone who knows virtually nothing about makeup, so it's not confusing at all. She has tips for every kind of face and skin tone.
Sara white eyeliner loads of mascara and nautral eye make up is all you need mac do make overs go to them for help
dont use eyeliner because itll make your eyes look smaller, use light colors and white in the tearduct area of your eyes. also use liquid tears, so they wont be dry, but moist and catch the light more to make them look bigger
use white eyeliner on your inner bottom lashes
