Make up tips and how girls in 2007 look?

I don't usually wear makeup and never really have. I'm not at all pretty either even though people say I am on MySpace, but some of them haven't met me or seen me in a while. In my pics, I don't wear nothing but lip stick/gloss and I edit out some blemishes.

What I want to know is why is it when I look at girls my age and younger they all blend and look alike with their hair straighten and combed to the side, tan skin, white teeth, pretty nails, and their make up. I think they wear eyeliner and light pink lipstick, but why is it that every girl I see looks like this and how can I do this look? Everytime I try to apply eyeliner, I look emo and weird. I only wear lipstick that is a little darker than my natural lip color and that's about it. Is it best for me to cover acne scars or go natural? What is the most popular eyeshadow color that would look good on almost any girl? Do only popular or ';hot'; girls look like this only or can I get this look that every girl seems to have? Thanks!Make up tips and how girls in 2007 look?
First of all, don't follow the trends just because everyone else is! Straight hair is not flattering for all face shapes. Pale pink lips are actually not flattering for MOST skintones (especially not tan skintones!) Sunless tanners are OK if you really want to be tan, but please do not lay in the sun or go to tanning beds -- you'll increase your risk of skin cancer, and your skin will be leathery, spotted, and wrinkled at a much younger age than if you didn't tan! If you think these trends will actually look good on you then you're certainly welcome to try them; but don't feel obligated to just look like everyone else! In a country that claims to celebrate diversity, it amazes me at how everyone still wants to look the same ...

Anyways getting off my soapbox now :) If you really want to try some these looks, here are some tips:

For eyeliner, try to apply the thinnest line possible to avoid the ';emo'; look. If black is too harsh for your coloring, try a softer color like brown or grey. Or have fun and try colors like eggplant, emerald green, or navy! Applying eyeliner all across your lower lid can also make your eyes look smaller; try lining only the outer 1/3 of your lower lid (but still line the whole upper lid) or skip lining the lower lid entirely.

Covering acne scars is a personal preference. If you can find a good concealor or foundation that matches your skintone and hides the scars without looking fake, go for it!

IMO, pale pink lipstick only looks good on people with cool undertones and fair skin. If you have darker skin or warm undertones, it will probably look ';off'; on you. I personally think you'll look better if you wear a color that flatters your skintone, rather than wearing a poor color just because it's popular :) But if you want to wear a lighter color, there's nothing to stop you! If pale pink lipstick doesn't work on you, try a gloss instead (they are usually more sheer and will let a bit of your natural lip color show through, looking more natural). If you have warm undertones, try a peachy-pink color or something with a slight golden shimmer instead of pale pastel pink. A nude lipstick or gloss can also look good if you have a muted skintone (that is, a lot of brown or beige in your skintone).

For eyeshadow, honestly I don't even know what eyeshadow is ';cool'; -- I just wear what looks good on me! However I do know some general tips to help you find the eyeshadow that will make your eyes pop the most!

In general, eyeshadow colors that contrast with your eye color will make your eyes pop the most. For blue eyes, browns, taupes, and anything with an orange undertone like bronze or peach will look great. Some girls also like pink and reddish/burgundy colors with blue eyes. For green eyes, purples are excellent! Also consider pink and reddish colors. For brown eyes, greens and purples work well, and if you have gold flecks in your eyes, a gold shadow or highlighter can bring those out.

And of course everyone looks good in some sort of neutral, though you may need to experiment to find which neutrals look best on your skintone. (E.g. I look good in beige and light warm browns, but cool taupes and greys aren't so great on my warm skintone!)

To get really straight hair, you'll need a good flat iron. You can try a flat iron from the drugstore (brands like Conair, Revlon, etc.) but those don't work well for most people unless your hair is naturally fairly straight. While it's pretty expensive, to get truly straight hair you'll need to invest in a professional flat iron like Chi or Sedu brands. (I have a Sedu flat iron and it works great! But it did cost about $125 from folica.com.) Make sure you use a heat-protectant product and use a deep conditioner at least once a week -- flat irons, especially the professional ones which get hotter than the cheaper ones, REALLY damage your hair. You really shouldn't use a flat iron on a regular basis (although unfortunately I do!)

To get white teeth, start with an over-the-counter product like Crest Whitestrips. If those don't work and if you can afford it, then ask your dentist about teeth-whitening options the next time you go in.

Pretty nails .... that's pretty easy, just keep them filed nicely and polished! If you have weak nails that break often, either keep them short (short nails can still be very pretty if you keep them neat and polished!) or try fake nails. Use a lotion or cuticle cream to help soften hard, cracked cuticles.

PS: If people already say you're pretty, why do you want to change so bady? I'm sure you look great already! :)Make up tips and how girls in 2007 look?
get a makeover from a makeup artist. specifically MAC, theyll do whats right %26amp; youll love the outcome of it.
go to a department store like macys. i would stay away from mac for your first time because they tend to go at it a little heavy. start off at clinique or something.
Makeup trends for 2007 mirror the soft pastels used in past seasons but with a few new twists and additions. The smoky eye is still prominent, but soft purples, greens and blues are replacing the metallic blacks and grays from Fall. One of the new trends in creating the spring version of the smoky eye is combining two or more colors, such as blue with green. In place of pencil eyeliner, the shadow is used as (applying with a slightly damp eye shadow brush to prevent shadow flyaway), finished with 2 coats of black mascara on upper and lower lashes. Other trends include:

Eyes 鈥?Cool, pastel eye shadows (think powder blue and baby pink) mixed with warmer shades such as coppery-peach or metallic bronze. Combining textures such as shimmers with mattes will prevent color overload and create a more wearable combination.

Dramatic lashes 鈥?thanks to a crop of new, high-tech mascara formulas, natural lashes are now more than ever able to mimic the look of false lashes and treatments that are performed in salons. Ingredients such as fibers, proteins and botanical compounds have been added to some mascaras to promote lash growth and even assist in creating thicker lashes.

Cheeks - Rosy pink or sheer, shimmery peach blush applied only on the apples of the cheeks. Or, a dusting of bronzer on the cheekbones topped lightly with a sheer, shimmery color such as pearl or baby pink.

Lips 鈥?Lip gloss colors such as sheer cherry, grape, bronze or peach are dominant. Or, use only clear lip gloss to create a natural flush and highlight individual lip color. If lipstick is worn, it is topped off by one of the mentioned lip gloss colors.

Dewy skin 鈥?A tough look for some to pull off (especially those with combination or oily skin), but strategically placing the shimmer will prevent the illusion of oily, blotchy skin. After applying all makeup, dust shimmering powder on cheekbones, temples and once across the bridge of the nose.
I love the smoky eyes look, you should try this.Try lip liner and lip gloss.Try an acnegentic concealer, good one,YvesRocherusa.com
Hey! i know eye liner never works for me either so i opt for a mascara that bulks up my eyelashes and makes my eyes look darker but more natural.... i also bought a eyelash curler it did take a little while of getting use to it but itz probably the best thing i have ever done ...it open up ur eyes and makes them look alot bigger and brighter.... i like looking natural too so i normally dont go for bright eye shadows i tend to stay to a light peal colour and put it just around the tips closeset to my nose and then with my finger lightly rub it over my eye lid this also brightens up ur eyes................. try a clear lip gloss i know that ur probably thinking no...but give it ago all my friends dont wear a colour and neither do i..................also blush or bronzer gives u a nice warm summer feeling but dont put too much on and to much foundation is never a good look and theres nothing worses if itz caked onto ur face so if u chooses to wear it make sure u choose the correct colour for your skin tone and rub in well.................. hopefully i helped a bit but just go into the bathroom and experiment and ur sure to find the right look for you! remember just because u may not look like all the other girls thatz a good thing because u hav ur own unique style and personality.................may God Bless You!! rach..
Why? Because it's cute and it's in right now. Why wouldn't you want white teeth and pretty nails? You're doing your eyeliner wrong, don't put an inch thick line!! What I do is I put eyeliner on the inner eyelid, right on the lash line. Then i smear some of it over the top of the lash line, make sure to blend it in so it isn't too dark and so that it's even. Be sure to wear mascara too, if you're wearing eyeliner. Get a good eyelash curler and a nice dark mascara (either black or dark brown). Now for the lip, you shouldn't wear lip stick or darker colors, that's for old ladies! What you need is a nice nude lip gloss, or a gloss that's a few shades lighter than your natural color, not pale though. Or you can just wear chapstick (i love it, always have it with me!!) or plain clear lip gloss with no color, just for shiny lips. Unless there arn't many acne scars or it isn't too noticeable, cover the your acne and acne scars!! The most popular eyeshadow, in my opinion, is neutral colors. Browns, coopers, sandy colors!! All that. No, not only popular and ';hot'; girls do this, but everyone does! If they want to look good that is. You can always switch around and experiment with colors and stuff, but these are the basics! Good luck with your new look!
Aww bless you i bet your stunning anyway you dont need to folow the trend!!girls jus copy other girls cause they see what works on them and they try it for themselfs hair colour doesn't matter the long hair with a fringe to the side is nice and hairdresser can do that for you, make-up is fun dont feel you have to look lyk everyone else try some eyeshadow around the under eye aswell as the lid white and pink are nice buy yaself some good mascara and eyeliner (mac, benefit) nivea lip balm in pink is lush all ma girls use it for skin problems maybe you could go to the docter and get some stuf and to cover it use a conceler stick and powder it's beter than foundation if you have alot of spots, it's easy to get the look buy buying ghd's,make-up and fake tan but just wear and look how you want hope i've helped good luck...x
